Venezuelan presidential election: What’s at stake? An eyewitness account

On October 7, Venezuelans will go again to the polls to elect a president. On the side of the Bolivarian revolution, president Chávez is standing. On the side of the opposition Henrique Capriles Radonsky is the candidate. Who is Radonsky, what are his credentials, what role did he play during the April 2002 coup? What are the achievements of the Bolivarian revolution? Its shortcomings? How are workers, peasants, youth, the Bolivarian masses organising the election campaign?

To discuss this and much more, we will have Rachael Boothroyd, a Venezuela Analysis (www.venezuelanalysis.com) journalist, just returned from Caracas.
