The Venezuelan government extends its indignation and sadness in light of these unfortunate events; and deplores any hidden intentions to discredit Islam as violent and intolerant, especially during the celebration of their holy month, Ramadan. As such, Venezuela reaffirms its condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and expressions.
We have sent a message of encouragement and solidarity to the survivors and the relatives of the dozens of victims during these sensitive times of pain which affect international peace and stability.
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela calls on the international community to address the causes of terrorism and to finally cut the sources of funding, training and logistical assistance to these extreme groups that massively violate the human rights of innocent people.
