Venezuela’s Foreign Ministry has released the following statement in reaction to the terrorist attacks that rocked the Turkish city of Istanbul on Tuesday.
The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro Moros, in the name of the Venezuelan people and government, forcefully condemns the terrorist attack which occurred in the airport of Istanbul yesterday, and extends his condolences and solidarity to the government of Turkey, the Turkish people and especially to the family and friends of the dozens of victims of this terrible and reprehensible incident.
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela rejects terrorism in all of its expressions and calls for the prevention of the causes of this phenomenon, which subjects entire peoples to fear and violence, massively denying fundamental human rights.
The Venezuelan government reiterates its call on the international community to urgently attend to the causes of this phenomenon, with the aim of impeding the access of terrorist and violent groups to sources of funding, training and logistical assistance.
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela endorses the principles of Bolivarian peaceful diplomacy, with strict respect for international law, for the pacific coexistence of nations, free of hatred and intolerance.
