Venezuelan Government Condemns NATO Attacks on Libyan Television
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela condemns the illegal bombing perpetrated by NATO military forces against the headquarters of the Libyan state television Al-Jamahiriya, which resulted in three employees dead and 15 injured.
Caracas, 31 Jul. AVN .- The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela condemns the illegal bombing perpetrated by NATO military forces against the headquarters of the Libyan state television Al-Jamahiriya, which resulted in three employees dead and 15 injured.
On behalf of the National Government, Venezuela’s Foreign Ministry released a statement denouncing that NATO has become “the only military alliance that has transformed contemporary professionals into systematic communication war targets.”

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez, on behalf of the the Venezuelan people and government, strongly condemns the illegal bombing perpetrated on Saturday July 30, 2011 by NATO military forces against the headquarters of the Libyan state television Al-Jamahiriya.
This barbarous act committed by NATO is the most cruel demonstration of the hypocrisy of the imperialist powers that began an open war against the Libyan people, killing journalists and destroying media outlets in the name of the so called defense of human rights. NATO adds this new crime to the bombing initially perpetrated against the Serbian Radio and Television on April 23, 1999, becoming the only military alliance that has transformed contemporary professionals into systematic communication war targets.
The Bolivarian Government of Venezuela reiterates its demand to cease the illegal military aggression against Libya, an create an opportunity of achieving a peaceful resolution to the internal conflict that this sister African country is living, by means of dialogue and negotiation, and preserving Libya’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
