Nelson Davila on Significance of 4th of February Civic-Military Rebellion

Venezuelan ambassador to Australia, Nelson Davila, speaks about the significance of the events on the 4th of February 1992, when a group of civilians and young army officers, including now Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez Frias, attempted to over throw the government of Carlos Andres Perez. The civic- military rebellion transformed Venezuela’s national political  panorama and is now viewed as one of the key antecedents to the development of the Bolivarian Revolution.
