Caracas: Part 1
Caracas is a city of 4 million people. It is separated from the Caribbean coast by the beautiful Avila mountains. The centre of the city is composed of apartment blocks typical of many cities in the world. It is surrounded by ranchos, red-bricked houses stacked precariously on top of one another. These communities are where the majority of the city's population live.
