Following a question from a journalist with RCN Colombia, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez commented on the case of Julian Conrado, a protest singer and FARC member who was apprehended a year ago in Venezuela by Venezuelan authorities. Colombian authorities want him extradited to Colombia.
Venezuela’s Public Ministry has formally recommended that the extradition of Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) member Guillermo Torres Cueter (aka Julian Conrado) to Colombia not be carried out, on both legal and human rights grounds.
