Are Indians being use by Chavez as a Publicity Stunt?

Ther are many of us that have followed the changes in South America and the role President Chavez has played. As the Native people in North America known for our resistance, the people of the Six Nations and the Mohawks in particular, have listened to his words and watched to see if the actions followed. When President Chavez announced his program to provide heating oil to Native people, we listened. We even went to Harlem to hear him speak. We listened some more. We sent representatives to Caracas to attend a conference for indigenous people. Our people listened still more.

Pushback on those intent on destabilizing Venezuela

There is a solution for Venezuela and all South American countries to push back against those intent on destabilizing the countries of the south. Brazil figured it out but did not take it far enough. Countries in South America should require all visitors to obtain a VISA and the cost of this should be a minimum of $500 US dollars or maybe $1000. This would not only raise considerable hard currency for the country but would reduce the number of unwelcomed vivitors to the respective country.

The illusion of change in USA

We elected a new president--with the hopes that important issues would be addressed--the economy of the USA has center stage all over the world--but do other countries see the meaning of what "banking reform & regulation" are turning out to mean?--that those who have too much --who have looted the economy like the 3rd reich did in germany--are being rewarded by the theft of monies from the poor and needy--and as the coffers of the peoples are emptied--the funds are being pipelined into hidden repositories in un named locations--that Americas new leadership is an accessory to this

Bravo Venezuela for Banning Trawler Fishing

I read the story of Venezuela banning Trawler Fishing that decimates fishing, and destroys the sea floor creatures. This is a step that all Nations should copy.
Over fishing, discharge of poisons into rivers, and the sea has created many dead zones the world over. The Banning of Trawler fishing is a big step forward to protecting fish stocks.

Eva Golingers Analysis

Thanks to Eva Golinger, we get very precise and serious, i. e. objective information about the maneuvers the US (backed by its allies in the aim to promote the free market) uses to control countries in a way that the polit-economic interests of the US may be preserved as much as possible.
What an incredible amount of corpses and destruction all over the world this includes should allways be present in any mind.

Thank you Venezuelanalysis

I wanted to write and say thank you for existing! It is so refreshing to hear the side of Venezuelan politics that is not deemed 'newsworthy' by the British press. I have studied Latin American history and politics in depth and have tried to follow Chavez' reign from Britain, but to my great dismay, even the more left wing papers like the Guardian find it easier to characature Chavez and his actions in simple, often false, terms and no one ever bothers to look at why he does the things he does. The language used to describe the Venezuelan government in the British press is often manipulative and always negative, even if done subtly.

More about residual sulfur in the White House

I think Nick Sawczenko is correct. Not only has Obama already been negatively influenced by residual fumes in the form of left-behind officials and incomplete wars and other business, I don't think either he or his Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, has enough understanding of the very important rise of new leftist governments in Latin America to interact intelligently with Venezuela. Obama speaks of listening, but his and Clinton's explanations of this supposedly new policy only confirm the suspicion of Iran's president that it will be a "tactic" rather than a change.

President Barack Obama, I am from the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela

From 1958 to 1998 two political parties dominated and controlled the Venezuelan political scene. For the most part of those 40 years Venezuela was considered a model and stable democracy. However, it was all an illusion.

Sulphur Fumes in Casa Bianca

Dear Mr. Editor,

President Hugo Chavez once had a narrow escape at the rostrum of the UN assemby hall after inhaling poisonous sulphuric fumes left behind by a certain hoofed nefarious creature named "W". Don't you think that the newly elected President Obama and his family might be running even a greater risk of suffocation from sulphuric emmissions at the White House, due to the limited space and considerably higher concentration of sulphur in the air.

Message sent to President elect Barack Obama

Already you have made a mistake and are not yet in office. Hugo Chavez is not slowing the progress of South America and only wants the US to stop interfering in the internal affairs of their verified and verifiable democratic Government, and with Hugo Chavez the landslide winner in transparent and fair elections the transparency of which surpasses that of the US.
You must not accept the information supplied by the CIA or State Department. Check for yourself.

Student Protests over Term Limits are Nonsense

The recent demonstration by students over term limits for office are being pushed by outside influence; notably the United States, and opposition parties who's intent is to destabalize the Venezuelan Government under Hugo Chavez.

Last year a Venezuelan student who demonstrated over this issue was rewarded by a US Financial Reward.

Not having term limits is a standard procedure for countries who are part of the British Commonwealth, and other countries. This is the norm.

Gaza Offensive

The act of showing solidarity with innocent children and women of Gaza by Venezuelans is simply admirable. In this time of blamegame it takes lots of courage, conviction and insight to not to take side of the bullies and extend a helping hand to the population abandoned by the international community.I have been waiting for days to listen to one Government on this planet which can clearly say,"This killing is criminal and its holocaust".Thankgod my painful wait has come to an end.I salute to the Venezuelans for their wisdom to differentiate right from wrong and the courage to say it and pray for
